MEET Lucinda
Dru Yoga
Lucinda’s mission as a yoga teacher is to take yoga off the mat and into everyday life. She is convinced that if we all individually feel good – physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually, we can bring light to those immediately around us, to our wider community and further out to the world around us.
Working in the city as an architect in a stressful corporate job in 2001 and distance running 5 days a week, Lucinda attended yoga classes at lunchtimes and after work to stretch and most importantly de-stress. After a few years of practicing it was a natural progression for her to want to learn more about not just the physical postures but the philosophy and lifestyle of yoga. That’s when Lucinda started with the IYTA 1 year Hatha Yoga course in 2008 and explored further with a 3 year Dru Yoga course in 2010.
Bringing her architect’s creativity, precision and love of spaciousness to her teaching, she weaves in a sense of lightness, playfulness and fun into her yoga classes.
