Small Group Classes

What is slow, mindful yoga?

Slow, mindful yoga is not the same things as ‘exercise yoga’. By the way, ‘slow’ does not necessarily mean easy!  It is a different practice with different goals. Although it definitely can help you improve your fitness and mobility the goal of slow yoga is building awareness, self-regulating the nervous system and deepening self understanding.

We skillfully blend an evidence-informed approach to teaching with ancient roots in health and well-being.

Build resilience in the nervous system, gain mobility, and practice tools for self-regulation in small, friendly classes. Have a look below at the different kind of class styles that we offer to meet all your needs.

Expect experienced teachers (we are very fussy who teaches here!) to guide you in mindful movement, breathing techniques, and meditation to soothe the nervous system and empower you to slow down in this busy world.

You are warmly invited to join us in transforming your health with slow, mindful movement in our boutique studio.

DYNAMIC

Dynamic is similar to our Hatha class but with more flow and stronger elements to heat and strengthen the body. Like all our classes, it is inclusive and suitable for beginners.

YIN

Yin yoga is a slower paced, more meditative version of the popular physical and spiritual discipline of yoga. The poses are supported, floor based and held for a long period of time (typically 3-5 mins) to target the connective tissues and meridian lines of Traditional Chinese Medicine. As a result, the postures are more passive holds with little muscular engagement.
